The following are the "Top Ten Most Frequently Asked Questions" when people first come into contact with Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

What makes HGBC different?

The Hickory Grove Baptist Church family is a group of imperfect people who have been brought together by the grace of God to worship Him, to be reminded of his forgiveness and to find out what He wants us to do in this world. We present practical messages emphasizing the timeless truths of the Bible that can be easily understood and applied to your daily life. We believe that this setting affords great opportunities for the entire family. Come be involved in our growing and excited church family.

What are your Weekend Services like?

We work hard to make sure every service is worshipful and relevant to your life. Sunday mornings begin with Bible study followed by family worship while Sunday evenings are interactive and fellowship orientated. Feel free to sit where ever you please, we really want you to be comfortable.

What about my children?

You are welcome to worship with your children during our services! We also offer a children’s church for your preschool children (ages 4 - 6). Participating children will be placed in the care of our Children's Ministry Team located in the Family Life building. This team has created a class that includes crafts, and great Bible truths designed to train them in God’s word. Please note that the children begin by worshipping with their parents in the main worship center. Those children who desire to attend children's church are dismissed after the music portion of the worship service.

Our fully staffed nursery is a clean, safe and caring environment that is open during all of our services (ages 8 weeks to 3 years).

What does HGBC believe?

Our church is considered a traditional church, we are deeply committed to the truths of the Bible. Our vision is to become a biblically-functioning community of believers who worship God, reach out to people outside the church and grow together in spiritual relationship with Jesus. Additional information may be viewed on our "What We Believe" page.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?

Simple answer, No. If you are our guest, we won't ask you to wear a name tag, stand up or stand out in any way. We don't even ask that you place a dime in our offering baskets. Our desire is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We encourage you to come back and visit with us for several weeks so that you can see all that is going on here.

Attached to our order of service is a registration form. Please consider filling out one so that we can get some additional information about HGBC to you.

Can I find out what this week's service is going to be about?

Yes. Simply email us at info@HickoryGroveBaptist.org. You will usually receive an email back within 24 hours.

How do I get to your church?

See the directions posted on our "Contact us" page. FYI, we have people attending from all over the Mid south.

What do I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. People wear everything from "Sunday best" to business casual to jeans. We have even spotted a few flip flops and sandals. Feel free to leave your tie and high heels at home or wear them if you like.

What do you have for students?

Our youth ministry is growing. Our mid-week Awana service is filled with excitement. We take a summer trip to nearby states for camp. We also work with our association and other churches to visit other countries on mission trips. HGBC seeks to impact our world with the message and love of Jesus.
